Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer – Space Communications

We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team and lead the development of cutting-edge communication technologies for space applications. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite systems that will transform the Internet of Things (IoT) and global connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test electronic systems for space-based communication, including optical transceivers, analog and digital circuits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define PCBA requirements and ensure seamless system integration.
  • Lead schematic capture and PCB layout efforts using Altium Designer or other relevant tools.
  • Perform PCBA design verification testing, system integration testing, and document test results.
  • Apply your expertise in RF and electronics to optimize and troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of circuits, utilizing signal integrity tools like SPICE, to ensure performance standards are met.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and contribute to continuous improvements in electronics and RF technologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support the hiring process by evaluating potential candidates.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with a focus on high-speed communications systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics circuit design, analysis, and testing.
  • Expertise in PCB design and layout (preferably Altium Designer).
  • Experience with electronic lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Strong background in RF systems, signal integrity, and troubleshooting complex electronics.
  • Knowledge of space technical standards (ECSS / NTSS) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a dynamic team.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with optical communication systems, including laser drivers and optoelectronics.
  • RF PCB design experience with a focus on impedance-controlled traces and EMI/EMC considerations.
  • Familiarity with designing for space environments, including radiation impacts and mitigation strategies.
