Position Summary: We are looking for a skilled SAP FI Consultant with deep expertise in Finance & Taxation, specifically within the Maquiladora industry in Mexico. This freelance role is based in Querétaro with a hybrid working model (remote + on-site as needed). The consultant will lead configuration, compliance, and integration of SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting processes tailored to Mexican regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

• SAP Financial Accounting (FI): Design and configure SAP S/4HANA FI module based on Maquiladora financial process needs. Analyze current processes and design future-state (“To-Be”) workflows. Configure GL, AP, AR, AA, and Bank Accounting modules.
• Localization & Compliance: Implement Mexico-specific features including CFDI electronic invoicing, withholding tax, and inflation adjustments. Ensure full compliance with SAT (Mexican Tax Authority) regulations and audit readiness.
• Testing & Deployment: Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Support go-live and post-go-live stabilization.
• Cross-Module Integration: Collaborate with MM, SD, and PP modules for seamless financial data flow. Support third-party software interface configurations as needed.
• Support & Optimization: Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and ongoing process improvements.

Requirements:

• Experience: 6+ years of SAP FI consulting experience. Minimum of 2 full-cycle implementations in Mexico, with direct involvement in Maquiladora processes.
• Skills: Strong hands-on configuration across FI sub-modules. Deep understanding of Mexican tax legislation and compliance workflows. Integration experience with other SAP modules and external systems.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Systems, or related field. SAP certification preferred.
