Accounts Payable Clerk – Bedford – Manufacturing Company – £30,000-£35,000

We are recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and fast-growing manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor in completing month-end tasks for group accounting in a timely manner.
• Input multi-country import stock invoices, ensuring correct tax implications are applied.
• Process overhead invoices, ensuring correct coding according to budgets, including understanding prepayments and accruals.
• Support management accountants with month-end close activities.
• Process BACS and international payment runs for approval, prioritizing key payments.
• Resolve supplier queries efficiently, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders and processing purchase return orders when necessary.
• Set up new supplier accounts and maintain accurate records.
• Reconcile multi-currency bank accounts and credit cards.
• Identify and post intercompany purchase invoices and journals.
• Focus on supporting the Accounts Payable month-end process to assist with group management accounts.
• Provide support across all finance tasks as required.

Education, Qualifications & Experience:

• AAT qualification or equivalent experience in accounting or finance.
