Accounts Assistant

This business is a leading engineering business, working in conjunction with major global businesses. With internal progression at the heart of their culture, this role has become available due to a well-earned promotion within the finance team.
The Role:
As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll be supporting a broad range of financial and administrative tasks in a busy finance department. Responsibilities include:
- Processing accounts payable transactions, including invoices and payment runs
- Supplier statement reconciliations using SAP
- Managing company Barclaycard expense processes
- Assisting with prepayments, accruals, revaluations and other month-end activities
- Supporting bank transaction processing
- Collaborating with procurement and commercial teams on aged creditors and debtors
- Assisting with audit preparation and wider finance tasks as needed
About You:
- Actively studying AAT (study support available)
- Strong organisational skills and a hands-on approach
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Motivated, eager to learn, and able to manage a varied workload
- Basic Excel knowledge — training will be provided
