A new contract for hardware/ software RF engineer is required to provide test methodologies, hardware set ups, test procedures, LabVIEW software routines etc for next generation microelectronics
This is outside IR35 and is expected to be for approximately 6 months (potentially longer).
Main Responsibilities for the Contract Test Development Engineer – Labview
You will design, develop, and implement automated test systems using LabVIEW. This includes test system hardware integration completion and conversion of hardware between system DUT.
As well as completion of current test software, calibration routines, Start-up/ Switch On/Off, band selection sequences, equipment set up, coding of test methods etc.
Experience

• Software Programming in LabVIEW is a must have
• Knowledge and experience in using RF test equipment (e.g. R&S Network Analysers, Spectrum Analysers, noise figure, PSU, DMM and NI specific Equipment etc).
• Good working knowledge of RF and Microwave products and components, including standard test equipment (Keysight, R&S etc).
• Development of ATE test sites, using standard COTS test solutions e.g. Vector Network Analysers, Noise Meters, vector signal analysers, switch system etc.
• Proven experience of converting equipment requirements into final test solutions.
• 5 years or more hands on design experience within an R&D department.
• Worked with development engineering and manufacturing groups to transition product into production.

  
Must be eligible to obtain UK Secret Security Clearance / UK Security Clearance to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Having current clearance that can be transferred is preferable.
