Senior Estimator

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. Our Senior Estimators play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for civil engineering tenders, covering projects such as roads, sewers, drainage, utilities, and reinforced concrete structures.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender requirements, assess the scope of works, attend site visits, and collaborate with the Bid and Operational Support Teams, working closely with the Estimating Buyer on material costs and subcontractor quotations.
• Support Apprentice Estimators in compiling and comparing detailed subcontractor pricing packages.
• Submit technical queries to clients for tender clarification and review client pricing schedules to ensure alignment with project scope.
• Conduct take-offs where required for Bills of Quantities or Activity Schedules.
• Prepare estimates for in-house work and evaluate subcontractor quotations for specialist tasks.
• Draft bid assumptions, qualifications, and exclusions, identify project risks, compile risk registers, and review utility and geotechnical data.
• Finalise and include pricing documents (e.g., Schedule of Costs, Daywork Rates).
• Attend post-tender meetings, respond to pricing queries, and monitor submission progress.
• Prepare pricing handover documentation and brief the Operations Team on tender details.
